Micro-Needling

Micro-Needling

Micro-Needling has become one of the most effective anti-aging treatment of the 21st century. Each treatment uses a disposable tip to avoid cross-contamination. It involves the use of a derma stamp pen. Its procedure uses very fine needles to break down old scar tissue and stimulate collagen production, thus leads to the formation of new skin tissue. There is no tissue destruction with micro-needling. The device slides down the skin penetrating to the upper layers of the skin, the epidermis. Micro-needling also allows better penetration of products such as creams and serums. This treatment can be done on all skin types and skin colors, and is best suited to clients with acne scars, fine lines, deep wrinkles, sagging skin, pore size, rough skin texture, sun damage, and even stretch marks.

Micro-Needling Procedure

The Micro-Needling procedure begins with a cleansing of the skin followed by a numbing gel, appeasing the skin during the procedure. The derma-stamp is then used to produce thousands of micro punctures on the skin, and in order to achieve the best results a hyaluronic acid, vitamin-C, or skin lightener is used during the procedure. Clients can experience redness, inflammation, and there may be minimal pin-point bleeding/bruising within the first 24 hours after treatment. For faster and better results a skincare regime is prescribed to the client’s specific skin needs.
